Going west on the Mamore ridge over Na Gruagaichean, the route drops sharply from the higher south summit to a gap from which the north-west top rises dramatically; the ridge at this point is narrow with very steep rocky ground to the right and, on the left, some of the steepest grass slopes you're likely to find anywhere.

The picture was taken just above the gap and shows these slopes in profile. Sgurr a'Mhaim is on the left with Carn Mor Dearg and Aonach Beag on the right.
