Meall a'Ghiubhais is easily climbed from Anancaun just north of Kinlochewe, and gives excellent views of Loch Maree and the surrounding hills. Ruadh-stac Mor, the highest point of Beinn Eighe, is on the left, with just the top few metres of Liathach's Spidean a'Choire Leith overtopping it (in the centre of the high skyline). Baosbheinn is in the centre of the picture, and Beinn an Eoin on the right. On this December afternoon the ground was frozen at all levels and snow-covered, just a dusting low down but some ten centimetres or so on the tops. Visibility was superb, with the hills of Harris standing out clearly to the north west |
