Taken from the top of the north eastern buttress on a simply outstanding day. I had come up over Carn Mor Dearg, and crossed the arete early enough to join the crowds on the summit by lunchtime.

The Mamore ridge is across Glen Nevis, running from Sgurr Eilde Mor on the left to Stob Ban on the right. Beyond that are the Glencoe peaks (Aonach Eagach, Bidean nam Bian and the Buachailles), the Blackmount and Bridge of Orchy hills, Ben Lui and Ben Cruachan. Further still are Ben More and Stob Binnein, and Beinn Bhuidhe.
